OXFORD UNIVERSITY AFRICA SOCIETY: Oxford Africa Conference 2017

The Oxford Africa Conference is the leading interdisciplinary conference on Africa delivered by a team of Oxford students. The Conference brings together heads of state, policymakers, business leaders, academics, artists, students, and professional to critically expand the discourse on Africa. In its seventh year running, the conference will provide a vibrant platform for new thinking about a global Africa across all disciplines – politics, society, business, technology and academia – connecting intergenerational leaders from around the world to shape an integrated and innovative perspective on Africa’s future.

The Oxford University Africa Society

The Oxford University Africa Society has provided community, thought leadership, and a platform for discussion of and engagement with contemporary African issues for over 50 years. The society hosts speakers across disciplines, artists, movie screenings, discussions, and social events centered on Africa and its diaspora throughout the year. The society is also dedicated to expanding access to the University of Oxford to African students, and is now working on expanding scholarships for Africans and mentoring prospective high school and university students from the continent.
