Data & Society Research Institute is seeking a Fellowship Manager to enhance, experiment with, and take in new directions Data & Society’s fellowship program. This role is a half-time, 15-month commitment, with room to grow to full time and extend beyond the initial period. The position is based out of our New York City office, and starts immediately.

About Data & Society’s Fellowship Program

Data & Society got off the ground with an inaugural class of a dozen amazing fellows. As the Institute has grown and welcomed subsequent classes of fellows, engaging with a diverse mix of thinkers and doers has continued to be a key component of Data & Society’s field-building mission. We see an enormous need and opportunity to continue to expand and thicken the network of people and organizations engaged on data and society issues. Fellowships and residencies of all kinds remain an essential tool in this regard.

Fellowship Manager

You will be responsible for ensuring the success of Data & Society’s 2017-18 fellowship class, developing the fellowship program, and for experimenting with new approaches to institutional rotation at the Institute. You have deep experience in program design and management, community-building, and mentorship. Your leadership will contribute meaningfully to Data & Society’s activities and the network we’re building.
